So after a ride a couple of weeks ago my wife has decided she wants apes on her 2011 Wide Glide.
I would like to put some taller black apes on my 2011 Street Bob.
I think my mini apes would be about the right height for what she would be looking for.
My question is should I leave the cables and wires in/on my bars and swap them or just do it all as if new?
Why spend the extra money?
If your going to need longer cables for the new bars on the Bob,,
,I'd send everything off the Bob over to the Glide and buy just one new set.
Transfer everything over to the Glide and make sure it all fits, order if needed when you order what you need for the Bob. Best case scenario, the Mrs will be riding before you, worse case, you'll be installing new parts on both bikes.
Thanks guys!
That's pretty much what I was thinking, but just wasn't sure if I was missing something.
When the time comes I'll leave all the wires and such on the transplant bars.
