So after almost 5 years of trying to decide what bars I want to swap to, mostly do to establishing the direction I was going with the bike, I finally ordered some Santee 14" apes. Now I am looking for cables, I am looking at both Barnetts and Magnums. The Magnums give actual measurements for each cable at +4", throttle (36-5/8"), Idle (36"), clutch (73-11/16") and brake 46152SW (52"). The Barnett just say +4, I email Barnett for details about the brake line because it's not listed, response within 30 minutes.
My questions, 1-for those that went to 14" bars, do those measurements seem correct or are they to little or to much? 2-can you provide feed back on either if you have used them?
On set of the four cables is about $60 cheaper from one company, I won't say which to leave the bias opinions out.
I'm running the 10.5 fat mini's on 4" risers... I went with the Barnett Platinums +4 on the cables. Gives good radius, no tight/pinch points. They have been on the bike for about 50,000 miles... never an issue. (knock knock..
Went with the HD Diamondback 2-pc front brake line and 1-pc rear.
