The 02 has the better engine and the 05 has an oddball frame.

02 all day. But EFI is a turn off for me in a toy. However, if it's daily transportation i would probably go EFI.

I know that, but so what? Everyone on these forums acts like every other guy is trying to build a rocket ship of a bike and needs top of the line everything when, in actuality, 90% of people are going to do a Stage 1 filter and some pipes and be done.

If he found a 2016 FXDL would we be arguing that he should get the 02 because the crankshaft and Timken bearing?

No offense to the OP, but if he had to ask the differences or what bike to get, it probably doesn't matter that much anyway right?
