In LA? So that means, sunny 360 days a year and rain the other 5?
Just kidding, I wish I had LA weather. Try 75mph wind chill in 35deg weather. It gets way colder here, but 35 deg is my limit in fear of ice from the coffee dumped out of the idiot in the cage on the highway around a turn.
You're tougher than me. I call it quits at about 40. Could go colder if I wanted to mess with real cold weather gear, but that's such a pain.
I guess the rumors about the FXDL-S are true. Was out for a few hours yesterday in mere high 80's heat and for the first time since I've owned a Harley, ETIMS kicked on several times. I have no problem with it, it's doing its job. Just blipped the throttle before taking off to get it back in normal mode.
Anyway, I did get a fair amount of heat esp on my right thigh at lights - was tooling around my old neighborhood in the North Bronx at one point, and of course, got stuck in a bit of stop and go. Got pretty damn hot down there, only when my right leg was down, usually I'm on the peg on the brake at lights, but I expect as it gets hotter out it'll get hotter.
I think I'm going to order a Captain Itch Crotch Cooler in anticipitation of hotter summer rides.
You still have the stock pipes? Going to anything without at catalytic converter will feel 10° cooler.

Little off the Mark, but check out spidi furious jeans.. vented in all the right places!!!
A) is the new Low Rider S running so lean from the factory that it's burning up in 80 degree weather?
B) are you guys talking about your actual ********* burning or your inner thighs? I've ridden my bike in 100+ degree weather and it's always the lower part of my legs that scorch (you know, the part that is right next to the hot exhaust pipe?). The topside of my arms hurt more from the sun that my nuts do from engine heat.
Meh, ya' bunch of wusses..........................
I just got back from a 75 mile ride and it's already 90 with a feel like temp at least 96 w/o a crotch cooler...suck it up and ride.
Wait...that was on the Bandit. I'm taking the LR tomorrow for a ride and supposed to get even hotter........................
Everything is cool on that little boy bike... try it on the big boy bagger and your nuts will be in swamp a$$ mode...LOL... Just kidding on the bike BTW...
