I just mod'd my 2015 FXDB plate frame so it's vertical. Looks much better. Which way do you guys usually put the plate on? Bottom of numbers to the left or right?
It's prob illegal in all states. I've never been hassled with it tho, they (cops) usually don't care as long as they can see it. I put the left side down.
The law varies by county and state. Read yours and/or talk to your friendly neighborhood SHP. Local PD generally aren't as well versed on these type of laws around here.
My law is ambiguous about orientation so I spoke with the SHP and they said I would be OK...in my county anyway...
I oriented mine like all the books on my shelves. Left side up...reading from top to bottom. My VERY low profile light is also at the left/bottom so it illuminates the expiration and county tags. It's so close to the plate that the far side isn't well illuminated.
