Default oil leak / seeping

noticed oil on my oil pan yesterday when changing the tranny fluid. thought it was my oil pan gasket, but it looks like it up higher.

2010 Wide Glide, 20,000 miles on it. Was wondering how "normal" this was, or could it be a sign of some bigger problem coming my way.

Dont know if this is related, but the clutch engagement seems "different"--sometimes not smooth transition. i recently adjusted the clutch (the same way i have several times before) in hopes of correcting that issue, but still doesnt seem right.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks

With the fluid migrating and being blown under your bike and collecting road dirt as you've been riding the first thing to do would be to clean and degrease the underside of the bike. Once clean monitor it carefully and that will make it much easier to determine what the source of the leak is.

As to the clutch feel; have you changed to a different type of primary fluid recently? Different types of fluid can have a very different feel to them. Have you verified fluid level in the primary recently?

Try torqueing the pan bolts. When I got my '06 Ultra, the pan bolts were finger tight, and I've heard of several others that had the same problem.

Best thing for leaking Harleys is brake clean, and check your oil.

Might as well check bolts. I got a long 3/16 socket for this.

Not hard, but a pain replacing gasket, at least when I did it on 01 FlH. Sliding back in with gasket was tricky.

Jacked motor up to get clearance. Manual calls for paticular sealant.

As said spray it to find leak.

I use red line for tranny to help identify leaks.
