I want to remove the tips from my slip ons to get at the baffles. There are 2 of these holding the tips on. What do I use to remove these? A torx or Allen don't work.

Security Torx. You need the appropriate tool to remove it which will have a recess to fit over the raised center dot.

Or you can drill a small recess in a standard Torx wrench.

Yup, your local hardware store should have the bit,, just check the size with one of your regular Torx and you might be able to buy just that size. Other wise they come in a set,, usually not that expensive.

p.s. If your good, you might be able to take a small punch and knock that center pin over/back-n-forth and break it off allowing a regular torx to fit.

yup... security Torx.

pretty common, and bits are readily available at hardware and auto parts stores.

HF has a complete set of security torx bits for a modest price. I have used the set several times over the past few years.
