Are they for tall riders, I have a WG and I am 6-4. I was looking at the chubby pullback drag bars but sitting on my bike trying to picture haveing drag bars on is very hard.
Can tall people run them, How do hey handle and feel, in town and on a long road trip.
6'3", long arms/legs - Love them! Longest trip since rotator cuff surgery in Jan. '07 was 400 miles; no complaints. I'll never be able to run any type of apes againwith my comprimised shoulder.
Depends on the length of your arms... More pullback means less of a lean and a more up-right riding position. I have 6" risers on mine - same basic set up as a Night Train.
You may want to go to the local dealer and sit on a Night Train - get an idea for what drags feel like if you've not tried them before. It's an aquired taste...not for everybody...
That is also something I am worried about, I need to do my research. I have a 3" tank lift on my WG so I doubt the 6" will work for me. The problem is the from what I have seen is the more the rise the bars have the more the pullback the have too.
i have the same set up as the night train and i love it. it felt strange at first but after 10 miles i was adjusted. it feels more sporty and like i have better control... but there is one down side.... i want to drive faster everywhere i go! i haven't been on the bike with this set up yet for over 100 miles but i felt good! as for the tank lift, i would go with 8" rizers with a slit pullback.
as boggie said, i would sit on the night train for an idea. that's what i did because i didn't want to buy the wrong fit for me. it was cheap and feels great. i went from liking my bike to loving it with just the bar change!!!!!
Click on the inset article with the silver standard, then blow up the pic. You can really see the difference! THis would have been my second choice to apes!!
