$8.99 from Amazon. I have used it for over 800 miles including a lot of highway speeds.

I used that one with the red band for awhile, but it vibrated more than I liked and was kinda a pain to switch between my bikes. Ended up going with this ram one, I like it a lot better: https://www.amazon.com/Mount-Univers...rds=ram+x-grip

People have reported problems losing phones with the x grip, but only using it in horizontal position(if you look up x grip failure on youtube you'll see what I mean). I removed the rubber tether and only use mine in vertical orientation, and I am more pleased with it than my previous setup. I was skeptical about using it this way until I watched a video of a guy using it the same way doing multiple backflips off a kicker on his dirtbike without the phone moving. It takes no tools and about 10 seconds to install/remove, so I can switch it easily from bike to bike or remove it all together so I don't have a goofy looking mount on if I don't need gps.

RAM also has a larger X-grip for larger phones, but I couldn't find a one piece one like this one with that option so I risked it and ordered it. I'm pleased to report that it fits my Galaxy Note 5 in a mid sized Spiegen case with some room to spare, and that with the weight of the phone in the x grip the clamp doesn't shift around. It also fits nicely above my bar bag so I still have unrestricted access to the zippers with my phone in place, without sticking up too far above the bag/bars. It really is just about right. My only gripe is that since this is a one piece unit instead of a separate RAM tough claw/double socket extension/X-Grip, the x-grip connects to the tough claw via a more bulky attachment so the rubber tether sits further back from the x-grip. This makes it have a lot more tension than I am comfortable with pulling back on the corners of my phone, so I opted to remove the tether and give up the option of mounting my phone horizontally even though that is what I prefer.

This probably seems like a pretty long winded explanation to most people, but I'm pretty OCD about things being just right on my bikes so to anyone else like me: you're welcome.

DO you have problems with the X grip and phone rotating from the vibrations? I have the same mount, and tried using it without the rubber tether, and the X grip and phone would turn about 30-45 degrees in each direction without the tether.

There is some play in it, but it stays centered for me unless I move it. I actually like that it has that play, when I'm using my phone in the horizontal position it sometimes likes to switch the screen back to vertical orientation... That bit of play let's me wiggle it so it changes back again. I just need to sort out a solution that keeps my phone secure and doesn't bug me aesthetically, hence staying vertical for now.

I think I see a spec of dust on your fuel cap.

No, wait. I'm mistaken. No dust here.

You ARE OCD, aren't you!

Getting a pic with no camera reflection is hard to accomplish. Yet, you seem to have. Well done, Sir!

I think my eye twitched a bit when I read that...

As far as the no reflection, that was sheer coincidence, and I'm very glad it happened to work out that way because I was definitely in my underwear when I took it... I wouldn't wish that sight on anyone here. Couldn't get to sleep and figured a picture couldn't hurt hahah
