Default fuel gauge problems

I just purchased a 2013 dyna super glide custom. The fuel gauge is not work right. The tank has a quarter tank and the low fuel light is on. Second the tank is full and the low fuel light is flashing. Third, the fuel gauge light is going off and on. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Gary

Sounds like a connection problem.
The other issue is Harley fuel gauges are notoriously inaccurate. Use your trip meter.

use trip meter I fuel up every 150 miles whether I need it or not..
figure out your fuel mileage and multiply by tank size less about 8 tenths
of a gallon

NEVER trust a motorcycle fuel gauge

Hey grunz95, yes to using tripmeter but no way would I want to live with a misbehaving fuel gauge...

Agree with QC - possible connection problem and I will add maybe a bad fuel gauge. I did a Thread on swapping out my stock fuel gauge that has pics and info on all the connections. If you need to try a new gauge, I have my old one you can have cheap.
