That tiki torch is hard as nails. Twice decorated. It killed the Predator, Arnold just took the credit.

Glad the weather left you all intact.

Default Fixed gaskets on the oil cooler thermostat adapter

Fixed gaskets on the oil cooler thermostat adapter. Jagg actually rushed out two sets of replacement gaskets "on the arm". I'm impressed. "Thank you" to Jagg.

Gasket and goods

Old failures, actually ... only the halves gasket failed.

Blah...

Default Fear lift activated.... slider swap, fork rebuild

Finally started on the front end.

For posterity

Loosened axle bolt with wheel on the ground

Unleashed the Fear. ..

Pulled front wheel

Drained the fluid... oddly it stank like the fat bob practice forks and sportster fork oil did.... so i guess that the dealer i bought the dead 2013 fxdwg from must have actually serviced the bike fully since none of the issues i'm going to mention were present on the 2013 but, were here on the 2012.

Default Fear lift activated.... slider swap, fork rebuild...more

Will update parts used later... cell phone sucks for this.

Tore down forks and found greenish-brown, thick sludge and corrosion. The sludge washed right out. It seemed to be sedimentary build up, nasty business. Even my 2007 sporty fors didn't have that kind of $÷!7 in yhere after 18k miles.... no idea what that was about. Glad i got it out though. The corrosion found around the cap threads and between the seals buffed and brushed right out. Good stuff.

Broke the new goods.

Slapped it all together. The new sliders cae with new seals but i opted to fully rebuild. Extra expense but i feel warm and fuzzy about it. Added only 500ml of oil to each fork... couldn't remember what tincup said was supposed to go in and there was no netork coverage or power. will address later

Default Ness rotor..brake caliper clean up, pads... sgt. Doaks...

......... surprise

Old Man Ness seems to have changed how the adapters are threaded... but, why? Helicoil inserts.... Are there horror stories about failed Ness adapters that aren't being told?

Wheel up on shiney forks..

Scrubbed up caliper and added in new pads.

Bled off some fluid, adjusted pads, mounted, and tested brakes. Good to go. Added reflectors ... don't care, I'd rather be seen than be cool.. noticed that the rear reflectors were missing... will be picking up some of those.

Flat slider caps look the business with chrome sliders

Flatness

Must get black axle covers nut this time

Dual disk ready.

To pound the seals in the top of the sliders. Works perfect from my experience.
