My comment really wasn't about the process, it was about finding how to determine how many "flats" you needed without knowing what brand they were (since you made the comment below of wondering if 24 flats was correct)

Target is .125-.140" preload

1.0" ÷ TPI = distance per revolution ÷ 6 = distance per "flat"

Target Preload ÷ distance per "flat" = number of "flats"

Disregard if you already knew this

You might know this, but forget about the instructions or brand (other than for curiosity). Get your TPI and calc for .140" preload

done.


investigated the new breather assemblies since i have no idea how the go together


In my arrogance, i figured i already had a 1/8 drill bit.... i do not... will revisit rocker assembly later today.

Agree 1000% on the kram lox. Part of the problem is the L shaped handle they give you gets in the way of rotating the way you need to. A straight handle would work so much better.
