Default Front end clunk

2014 Fat Bob, when I am on the front brake and hit a small bump I get a loud bump noise in the front end. The closest I can come too describing it would be the sound 2 lb ball bearing would make if you banged it inside a wood box. It's not engine .. Sounds like it is coming from the frame neck. Any ideas?

That is where the steering neck bearings are located, it they are loose, they tend to clunk

A lot of people would say that sounds like your gas tank bolts are loose, give those two bolts and nuts a look.

I had the same "clunk" using brake or not. Tightened up the steering neck and the clunk is gone.

I just fixed this on my Wide Glide last week. My rear tank bold was lose and it was making this sound.

See if you can lift the tank. Simple fix
