Yup! And if the neck is bent, it's a great excuse to cut it off and make some more dramatic changes.

Damn, that's scary. I'm glad you will ultimately be okay and happy to hear you'll be able to ride again.

OUCH! Don't over do it with the groceries. By the time you feel it might be too late. Easy does it so you can get working on the bike or back riding a different one. Wishing you the best.

Hard to believe how swollen and/or distended my belly is in that pic. That large blocky area to right of my navel must be the outline of the 4x4 mailbox post.

The abdominal area in general really concerned the trauma team. They were doing CT Scans and exploratory surgury within 30 minutes of me dropping the bike. I'm probably lucky that I had just eaten my first meal in 12 hours when I hit. Threw most of the that up in the ambulance. Not much in my intestines to contaminate my gut. Still worries me. I take my temp twice a day just to make sure.

Changing the dressing on that open wound at my pelvis is something of an adventure to do all by myself. It's closing up fast, tho. Trying to stay moderately active and make good dietary choices...Lots of water, protein, whole oats, nuts, fruit, etc.

Wow there's some scars to show off and stories to tell for sure!

Glad to hear you're on the mend and sending healing vibes from across the pond.
