Aw, man; that looks nasty. I go with the tried and true approach; I'm a cat person and my cats have full access to my garage, they delight in hunting out there. Not a bug, spider, cricket, or furry rodent would stand a chance. I also feed the local outdoor cat population and they're always hanging around... no rodent ever has or is getting through that gauntlet
I feed some feral cats and have thought about leaving my garage door cracked open for them to enter, but I'm worried they might decide to use the mc seats for scratch pads....

TinCup, I work in the waste disposal industry and our trucks were getting chewed to hell, we were regularly ordering and replacing wiring harnesses, we tryed pretty much everything to stop them from destroying our trucks. After trying everything possibe the solution was wild cats, we have at least 10 or so now and let me tell you we haven't had a wiring issue (due to rodents) in several years. These arnt the kind of cats that you pet, we feed and take care of them and they keep the yard free and clear of all rodents & pests.
freebaggin, the outside cats here are the same; they're used to me and let me get close to them when I put out their food and water but try and touch one and you will get yourself blooded up. The inside guys are all rescues but they never lost that hunting instinct and methodically hunt the garage when the doors are closed then sit watching, waiting... and hoping
SBRob, when my garage doors are open the feral cats frequently come in and check it out; they've never harmed anything but a few crickets
Owe, that sucks! I've had cars and my truck messed with by rats but never the bikes. Maybe our Texas rats are bigger and need more room to make themselves comfortable before dinner?? I've heard that it's something in the formulation of the plastic coating on the wires that they find tasty...

Many years ago a freakin Opossom ate one of my seats, ( Leather Yummy ) So now the shed doesn't have any cracks or crevises or holes for anything bigger than a baby mouse. Which I have traps and bait for just in case.OH, and I used Coyote Urine sprayed along fencelines. You can get it at your local farmstore.Gets rid of Moles also.
