Hey guys......wanting to put a new seat on my '04 super glide and have it narrowed down to these two. I just put a new Mustang tripper solo seat on it and while it is nice and comfortable, I just don't care for the look of it on my bike. I've seen it on other bikes and it looks great, just not on mine. Will be in the classifieds section soon.
So, can anyone recommend one of these seats over the other and why? They look very similar, so I would go with which one is more comfortable.
Any opinions on the C&C fastback seat or the Saddleman Profiler to compare against the other two I mentioned?
Love C&C! Went through HD, Mustang, Corbin, and Le Pera seats on my soft tail. Unconfortable and poor fitting IMO. Switched to C&C four years ago with their solo and have no complaints. Very comfortable even after 4 or 5 hours riding. I just had a fastback made for my Dyna and it fits like a glove. Very happy and very well made.
C&C's website is from 2000 or something so don't go by that. They will add padding, take away padding, have multiple fabrics, colors, stitching, and even custom embroidery. Each seat is made to order to your specs. Worth a call to talk.
Had the Drag Specialties Predator on my old bagger, looked excellent but felt like I was riding on a wooden plank. I've never had hemeroids but if I did I'd imagine they'd feel alot like the Predator felt after a 30 min ride. Again, looked really sweet on the bike.
I run a C&C Fastback as well, bought it used from another forum member here. It's a great seat. I never find myself squirming at all, and its got some decent lumbar support. Nothing but good things to say!
I had a Harley Badlander on my '07 Street Bob. It would be a little different than one for an '04, they changed them a little in the '06 model year. I liked mine just fine, I just changed it because I wanted to go to a solo seat. I rode with it up to Sturgis a couple of times about an 830 mile trip. Did it in two days one time, and did it in one day the other. No problems.
On the other hand, the pillion section is terrible, according to both my wife and my daughter.

This.
I love the look of my Leather Badlander, and it is a nice compromise between style and comfort. My old butt can go about 3 hours before I need to take a break from it.
But...my ol' lady hates it. I will likely go back to the stock Solo, which is a pretty damned good seat, and a passenger pillion for her.
