Haven't posted in a while, but have a question to the other guys with FXDP's. I'm in need of a new rear tire and I keep getting contradictions about the sizes. It has an Mt on it right now, but I wanna go with a 150 shinko. A buddy told me it won't work because of the belt width on the defenders. Have any of you guys swapped out to a 150 without going chain drive? Thanks.
Yea, I have a 150 (Commander II) on my '04 FXDP with stock fender/belt/pulley. No problems at all. Fits fine, room to spare.
The MT90B1671H (Dunlop D402PT) was the stock police tire. I think it was about a 135 series tire. Personally, I wish I had the original police-issue tires back! Weren't great for cornering, but sure were tough & would run just fine with <5lbs of air. Not true run-flats, but close. Really stiff sidewalls! I loved em.
