How to really clean fork lowers???

Powdercoat and be done with it. Pulling them apart is easy plus you can replace the seals and upgrade the fork oil while you are at it. Aftermarket springs can also be done at the same time.

What he said... it's not that expensive... and cleaning a powdercoated lower is like... wiping a wet rag across it... so nice.

The metal is pitted. It won't clean up. Powdercoat or chrome.

Yep will definitely PC the lowers when I have the wheels done. I'm slowly blacking out the bike anyway. Thanks to all who responded. I love this site and all the help that I have received here. So many knowledgeable people who are happy to share their expertise and experiences.
