Clutch is standard - but it feels hydraulic. In fact, it feels even lighter and smoother than the hydraulic on my VTX1800. And the transmission shifts like butta!

You will be blown away with how smooth the transmission is - especially compared to the VTX. There is no loud 1st-to-2nd "clunk" and all it takes to shift is just a very slight pressure upward/downward on the shifter. Only time will tell how well it holds up - which is why (I'm assuming) that HD wants to inspect/replace the primary bearing every 15k.

I rode in to work this morning and did a quick unscientific tests with the clutch lever - comparing the Dyna with a friend's CBR600RR (non-hydraulic). Believe it or not, the Dyna's clutch pull felt smoother and may even a little lighter! This will be a real gawd-send to those of us who spend a lot of time in stop/go traffic.

Wow, that smooth, you got me all stoked. My Drifter was pretty hard & would cramp the hands after awhile. Thanx Tow, much appreciated.

Later,
Chap
