I'd pay a bit more; love the paint job (Old enough to remember the origionals...). Have decided to keep my FXDXT and done many serious upgrades (103, Sputhe swingarm and motor mounts, '04 gas tank, aluminum spoked wheels, 4.25 X 18 rear, etc etc...built to enjoy; I've no chance of resovering much on re-sale this time)
When I purchased my 2003 FXDWG, the 100th anniversary paint job wasn't a major selling point. But I was in the market for one at that time.
Personally, I won't pay more for the anniversary editions. I use mine everyday and it will look as used as any of the others (probably more).
There were a lot of the 35th Superglides left over at the end of last year. When I was looking for a new bike this spring, a dealer in MN had one and was willing to do it for $13,500 OTD. I passed and went with a '07 FXDL.
I think the SE special builds would be a better way to go from a resale standpoint.
