Default do aniversary models hold any more value

I have a 06 35th aniversary Super Glide. Does this mean anything or is it just another bike.

I guess I dont really care cause I love the bike but was just wondering.

Thanks!

I have a neighbor that has had different ones over the years. He states that he has always been able to resell and not loose his money. I know the value books show them holding their value over others of the same year.

Like is often said, right time, right place, right buyer.

No, Harley and their infinite wisdom all believe they should have an anniversary every five years. If they decide to have anniversary models like every 10, 15, or even 25 years.....then it might be different when it comes to value wise. Five years is rediculous!

For now though....all you have is a special paint job.

I don't think so. I think over time, the 100 year models may have a greater appeal... specially if they are stone cold stock.
I've got a buddy with a 100th aniversery Sporty and he wants to *** it up (like, beyond intake/exhaust), I keep trying to talk him into leaving it alone, so far he has (mostly cuz hes one of those "all talk" type of guys).

Problem is really that the moco makes too many bikes now. If there was a limited run bike, the the SE's, there might be greater appeal.

Maybe if you have a mint, unmolested one that is 25+ years old, it will bring good money. Personally, I'd just enjoy it now and not worry about the value in the future. If you want a good investment, look somewhere other than investing in motor vehicles.

Look at what the retail price for the '06 superglide 35th anniversary model was. Now look at the price of an '07 superglide custom. They are the same bike, minus the paint jog and anniversary plaque. Huge difference inprice. I almost bought a custom instead of my '07 WG cause I loved the '06 but could'nt justify that kind of money. Got a good deal on the WG and I'm glad, cause I'm lovin' this bike more everyday.

I have number a 35th ann Dyna and will never sell it (unless He.. freezes over) and yes I overpaid for it when compared to the 07. BUT, its the pride and history of HD and this scoot that I bought and not just metal and rubber. Yes I would pay more for it again, maybe I am lucky to be in decent financial shpe but what a grteat way to show my prode for HD by riding a "special"

Excuse me, I have to take a look at her in the parking lot, Yes i am in love :-))

Take a look at some of the web sites like NADA.com

You will see that the 100th anniversary models have a higher resale price right now. Beyond that-ride and enjoy. Never can tell what the future holds.

I looked into trading in my 2003 FXDXT for a touring bike and I did not feel that the bike being 100th made any diffrence at all. As other people have said before you can do OK on the bike but get raped on all of the additions. I decided to sitck with the Dyna and add a trunk bag and upgrade the seat for longer trips. We rented a Ultra Classic down at the Daytona 500 and it was very comfortable.
