I am in the process of lacing a new 6 inch width rim to the hub of my old 4.5 inch width wheel for my 2010 Wideglide.
My intention is to mount a 200mm width rear tire to replace my current 180mm (173mm) Scorcher.
To do this I think I will need to relocate the stop/turn signals and also reduce the exposed nuts that come through from the struts into the inside of the fender.
Has anyone mounted their signals to the top of the suspension turrets?
Any suggestion on nuts, brackets hardware to reduce protrusion into wheel area?
Oh, I forgot to mention the crossbar solution. See the link for one example. There are a couple different variations...
