SB and Craftsman jack?
do you have a pic of where you put yours on the frame? \\; do you leave them on or only when you work on the bike?
and wont this make the lifting point even lower, therefore more of a PITA to get on the jack?
man i figured a bike would be easy, I'm sick of trying to jack up my street cars lol \\;

When the block is intalled on the right side and the bike is tilted to the right past perpendicular, the left side is raised high enough to get the blocks on the jiffy stand side. \\; When the bike is straighted up, it rests perfectly on the jack platforms.
I just got my 07 Bob and its time for its first service. I bought the Craftsman motorcycle jack, and the damned thing doesn't fit under there when the bike is upright!
when the bike is on the jiffystand, i can get under the one side, but then the jack hits the stand
tips and tricks to get this to work?
also, where are you guys putting the tie down straps on the bike?
2nd, after putting the HD adapters on the frame, sit on your machine in the upright position,
retract the kickstand, slide the lift under your machine.
(One man operation - be careful the first couple times)
Lean over and have a look that the jack is under the adapters.
Start jacking the handle.
Just get it up high enough to support your machine.
Get off, and look under to be sure all is well.
Then proceed to elevate the machine to the height you may desire for service.
Straps are shown in the pic I attach below.
I use three. If the seat is left on, the blue one goes over the top of the primary/tranny.
I don't think you will be changing fluids with your machine on the lift.

Here is thelift I use, it's an all aluminum crewline lift.

this lift works great but has to go in from the jiffy stand side of the bike.

That yak looks to be virtually identical to the yellow
aluminum Sears product that I have.

back when I bought my crewline lift from Sams Club Sears only carried the old style black/red lift with the foot pumper. I already had that one from sears and did not like it so I sold it. these aluminum lifts are great!!!
