Default SB and Craftsman jack?

I just got my 07 Bob and its time for its first service. I bought the Craftsman motorcycle jack, and the damned thing doesn't fit under there when the bike is upright!

when the bike is on the jiffystand, i can get under the one side, but then the jack hits the stand

tips and tricks to get this to work?

also, where are you guys putting the tie down straps on the bike?

I have an '03 Wide Glide that's lowered 2" and I have to stand the bike upright when I roll the jack underneath. It's a little bit of a pain but it's worth it not to have to pay someone to work on it.

I pull my lowrider on 2 bye 6 boards. cut 3 one for each tire 1 for kick stand. as for strapping down, mine felt sturdy without strapping down.your choice, also dont forget to get dyna lift adapters before you lift it up. got mine from harley i dont remember cost, not expensive

I have a Super Glide with Street Bob rear shocks, so it sits the same as yours. I just purchased the Craftsman jack and the Harley Dyna Lift Adapter Kit. This kit consist of three poly blocks which sit under the frame and allow the Dynas to sit properly on the jack.

Place one of the blocks just in front of the mid peg mount on the frame on the right side. Then, you slide the jack under the bike from the side opposite the jiffy stand until it hits the jiffy stand.Next sit on the bike and tilt it to the right past straight up and down vertical. While on the bike reach under and place the other two adapter kit blocks under the frame on the left side so the line up with the jack.

The Craftsman jack works great with this kit. The kit cost about $25.00 from the dealer.

I put mine as far as it will go under the bike then jack it up until its almost touching then lean it onto the jack and start up some more then titghten up th straps. I take my seat off put one strap there and one across the top of the motor at the rear cylinder.

the adaptors ain't that expensive. they keep the jack from hitting the trans which hangs down below the frame rails.

Here is thelift I use, it's an all aluminum crewline lift. works like an automotive floor jack with the twist handle. it's pretty light for it's size, I remove the handle and hang mine on the wall cuz it's light enough!!! this lift works great but has to go in from the jiffy stand side of the bike. here is a pic of the jack.
