What are the options?
I dont want anything too loud and need heatshields as I dont like the idea of burning self or clothing/footware on exposed header pipes constantly.
Ideas and photos? Thanks
That RR2 sounds delicious, DK. Looks damn good too with your setup.
Here is a clip of the Bassani RR3, no excuse for the awful vertical filming. I decided not to put the heat shield on, it is pretty small anyway. There are plenty of options out there, most anything is going to beat that stock setup.
A guy at my work has the road rage mega power on his LRS and I think it sounds pretty killer. Definitely not a quiet exhaust, but not the most obnoxious either. Fuel moto is a forum advertiser and they seem to have the best prices on bassani stuff, they'll probably do something for black Friday or cyber Monday so keep an eye on the vendor classifieds if you're thinking about jumping on something soon.
Bassani RR2 with black heat shields on my S, looks and sounds great plus no worries with ground clearance in the twisties. Here is a pic of when I first installed it on the day I got the bike home.

Come on guys, read... Road rage? Isn't that just about the loudest pipe short of drags?
That said, I was in the same mindset when I got mine, wanting a quite pipe. After a while I was wanting a little more sound. A happy coincidence that my bike ended up making the most tq and hp with the open end cap which made it a bit louder. But still not thunderheader or road rage loud.
