Default Dyna Light Bars

Ok guys, interested to hear what light bars are being run and what holds up? Looking to add one to my '13 FXDC, I intend to mount it under the bottom tree. Post pics if you're so inclined along with info on what system you're running.

Hey, I started a thread about this same thing a few months back. Here's the link LED lightbar??. Look through it. A lot of guys provided a lot of good info and feedback. At first I went with a light that was WAY to big and I tried to make it work only because I was going on a trip to Colorado and knew I'd be driving at night out in the middle of now where and wanted to be able to see. Needless to say, I couldn't see much better. Sooo... I replaced it with this one http://offroad.rigidindustries.com/led-lighting/91431 I took a piece of 1" steel, cut it into a small strip about 3" long and drilled two holes in either end, sprayed it with plasti-dip, and mounted it to the stock headlight bold under the tree. It's exactly what I was looking for. Also, WRKD4ITFLHX2008 posted a pic in my thread with his switch on the side of his dash. I did a similiar switch, except since my bike is blue, i purchased a lighted blue LED toggle switch and changed it from the red one that was included in the wiring harness. I think it looks pretty cool. The wiring harness is for a vehicle, so I did a little electrical work and cut and spliced the wires and heat shrinked them back together. I know VERY little about electrical and tackled it with ease. I ran the wires under my dash, under the seat to the battery. It turned out super clean.

The Rigid light is a lot more money than the Kawell you can get off of Amazon, but the reason I went with the Ridig light is; 1. It's made in AMERICA and 2. Because out of all the lights I looked at, it was the smallest and brightest light I could find (3000+ lumens). I live in the hills where there's deer. I ride home late at night and need to be able to see those rats with horns. haha...It also comes with the wiring harness, so no need to buy one.

I also added an aftermarket 'daymaker' light earlier this year (from JP cycles) which helps as well. Other drivers don't like it, because after i mounted my fairing, it made it project further up the road and they flash me as if I have my brights on, but IDGAF . haha I know this has gotten to be kinda lenghty, but I wanted to give you as much infor as possible. I did a lot of research before I tackled my light and I couldn't be happier. OH...and earlier while scrolling through other threads I stumbled upon this https://www.moonsmc.com/products/moo...ht-bar-bracket
which I'll probably be adding to my bike. It's much nicer than my hoaky manufactured one. 'Sides...it's manufactured in Cali haha

I'll try and post pics in the next day or two. Good luck. If you want PM me with any questions.

^^Rigid to s assembled in Cali from Asian parts.

If you want truly made AND assembled here in America as well as the farthest throwing LEDs then go with BajaDesigns. I have BD S2's in place of the factory fogs on my daily truck & they're tons brighter than the Rigid Dually's despite having half the LEDs.

Good to know. I've been thinking about changing my factory fogs to LED on my truck too.
