After a 1 year hiatus, I'm back in the Harley family. Just took delivery of my new '06 FXDCI this afternoon. Unfortunately, I won't get an opportunity to do much riding until this weekend. However, after a close visual inspection and just a few miles of riding her today, I must admit that the fit/finish is significantly higher quality than the two VTXs (1300 and 1800) that I've owned since selling my '04 FXDX.
It's good to be home. and back with my family
On a side note, I'm really impressed with HD's new detachable windshields. There's no mounting hardware required on the bike and you have quite a bit of room for positioning the shield up/down by simply repositioning the clamps on the forks.
