Call Cycle Electric he will make you the extensions if you ask nicely. I have the bung king on my bike and I am currently doing a 117 build I also have a ultra cool oil cooler sitting here for the bike thanks for the heads up. I will probably just make my self a new crash bar out of stainless and mount the regulator so it will not interfere with the oil cooler.
I tried to figure this out when I was concerned about the true track interfering with the bungking crash bar (True track was fine with the crash bar by the way). One idea I had was to use a joining bracket like this from the stock mounting point: https://www.amazon.com/Stainless-Cor...ending+bracket
This raises the the regulator up enough to clear the crash bar. If you go up to high you might need to use a couple of washers as spacers to clear the frame.
Interesting. I was thinking about something similar, but was concerned about the wiring reaching. The stator cable is pretty tight. The other side has more slack. Did you have to cut the wrapping or anything?

I did not do an actual test fit. I figured i would get the slack I needed by releasing the frame clip on the tighter cable. Regardless, it is going to be really close to the bar.
Just bought their regulator and stator from them and it looked like the regulator wire might be l little longer than the factory unit.. I may be wrong though.Of course if that was the case, you probably would have just got theirs.
Does the stator cable have a plug on both ends, if so, is it possible to order another stator cable and use it as an extension or maybe find a used stator that you could cut the cable off of, build the cut end with a new connector and pins and use it as an extension. Just an idea.
Was a solution ever found? I have the speed merchant skid and bung king crash bar here, and the wiring is not long enough to mount the regulator. They mentioned that may be the case on BK site for some models, and go figure the FXDLS is one of those models.
I am going to exchange the bar for the standard and return the skid if I cannot find extensions. I don't want to cut and extend the wiring, I always prefer an extension to cutting up the OEM harness.
Checking back in on this, I'm in the same boat as Relbus....want to keep my merchant skid plate, but also don't want to cut my wiring. Does anyone know of an extender wire we could buy? What does Bungking recommend?
