Ok guys the trees and legs arrived today ,been reading up and apparently or alledgedly I can use the stock wheel ,axle and bearings from my 07 fxdc ,just need a rotor spacer to make my hub the same size as a wideglide hub so I'm asking the question does anyone know what size spacer I need or know of a place which sells them ? Also can anyone confirm that the 1inch axle will work ok with the switchback forks which I do believe take a 25mm axle ? Tia ....... pics to come soon !!

The guy in the above post put street bob wheels on his switchback-scroll to post #31, Same size wheels as a super glide. Its totaly doable. Phog, to answer your above question-You can use 1" or 25mm axle with your Switchback fork sliders. If your eventually going to go with a wider wheel up front, I bet a touring wheel would bolt right in. They're easy and cheap to come buy. I have one in my garage that excepts 1" axle that I've tried to sell cheap a few times.
Multihdrdr- any progress with the Fat Bob trees? I'm surprised you haven't told phog what he needs to make this project work.
Phog, Multi is pretty much the hdforums wheel and axle expert in here-he helped sort out my wife's sportster wheel sizing among other things.
Thanks for that fskitch ,I'm just going off what the guy says on his advert,do you know if I could fit my stock sg wheel on there with different axle and spacers obviously ? ..... loving your bike, it looks real class !
Cheers

I think if you use a SG wheel you will need to space the brake rotor out because the SG has a narrower hub for the Mid-Glide trees, there are kits for this I believe. IMO, I think if you have access to a wheel truer, to could use a spoke wheel off a Heritage (if you can get one), have it trued (if needed) for the Switchback and with the correct spacers the rotor should line up and would be the better way to go. I have a softail hub on my bike, but don't have the Switchback front end (yet).
