Sorry to hear it man. We've all been there, I did a similiar thing years back going around a corner, car pulled out from blind driveway, braked and swerved(missed car), hit patch of gravel and went down only slid about 30-40 ft but got real nice road rash and scrapped up bike(cry) No matter how careful and alert, **** can happen on a bike. Glad to hear it was not worse.

Keep a tight grip on the keyboard till yer scoot and body is ready to rock again eh?

In SW FL here I'm always nervous as **** around any angle after a rain (which is most of the time in summer) cause all the oil comes to the top of the tarmac and it get friggen slick! Makes me appreciate the crazy doods (you know who you are) that ride when it's freezing temps out - yeeesh!
