I have never split lanes, but I have been hit while sitting in traffic. I would try it. As to the OP, get the bike fixed and get back out there. Glad you are ok.

First of all, glad you are ok!

The bike doesn't appear to be hurt too bad either. The brake lever can be modified to use a shift peg. We have a thread HERE that illustrates just how easy it can be done.

The Air Filter element can be replaced or even upgraded HERE.

You are more than welcome to give me a call and see what we can do for you.

Dwayne

That sucks, glad you're ok. Leaving the scene is a dirtbag move. Hopefully it eats them up inside.

Sadly, that won't happen. These 'people' who would bail on an incident they've cause are blisters of air, consumed with their own wants, needs, and desires. wkdb was an inconvenience as they pursued their own self-interest; no thought or concern was given, their world can't allow for that.

They will kill you on your ride, and sleep very well that night; the Guf is empty...

Damn man that sucks, glad you are okay and the bike can be repaired. As others have said, splitting isn't for me and this is an example of why not. The risk of being hit from behind sucks but so does this. Be careful and again, glad you are okay.

Sux & sucky deal...very glad to see you're able to walk away from this mishap. Maybe use the misfortune to throw some cool upgrades/mods on the bike...?? Heal well & ride-on!

I'm amazed at how little damage your bike sustained. Did your helmet contact the ground?
