PG,where do you find the semichrome in the pound cans. I've used it since the sixties but always bought it it the small tubes,so I've always had to use it sparingly.

What I use is the same product as Semi-Chrome, but not made in Germany. It is made in USA (Fulton Ohio) and is named Met-All. It is the same ammonia laced pink cream as Semi-Chrome.
Since you asked, I had to go to the shop to double check it. I was incorrect about the price however. The price was $4.99 a pound. I had bought 4 lbs of it at the time because it is so cheap, which totaled $22 with the tax I suppose. I am now down to 2 and a half cans left.
I bought it at Berings Hardware here in Houston Texas about 4 years ago. They still stock it today and the price is most likely a bit higher, but nowhere near what the Semi-Chrome is. I too could only get the Semi in those small tubes and used to hoard the stuff before I came across the Met-All one day while in the store. Now I hoard Met-All............pg

I use S-100 on my entire bike... including the chrome. It works great and it's very easy.
