I'm not as familiar with the older bikes so I couldn't tell you what to look for m beyond the obvious leaks and noises. I'd put it on a jack and go through it with a fine tooth comb. At 25 years old and 43,000 miles I'd be willing to bet it will need a couple things. To be completely honest, for something that old, with that kind of mileage, the most I'd pay would be 1000-1200. It's my opinion that this bike would be good for a first bike or a restore build. If you're only interested in it to make a profit, I would suggest you walk away. I only say this because I believe very few people would be interested in it. If I was just learning to ride and the price was lower (like 1500 or so) I would be interested. Just don't want you to buy it and lose money. But if you really like it and want to ride it, inspect everything, and write the check.

I'd buy it at that price and sink a few bucks into it. Mileage is not bad.

Sorry Nick, and please don't take offense, but you are out of touch (with the pricing)

A lot of people will be crying if you get a decent FXR for that price.

If it's a runner and doesn't have any bad sounds, it may be OK. I'd try to get a compression test. It is probably suffering from disuse and the various effects of that but with some effort it could be a gem.

What is its running condition?

Says it runs and drives perfect and he says its in really good shape but its hard to tell how great from the pictures being its in a dark garage and looks like it needs a good polishing its winter hardcore here in northern mn but i was thinking if i can get it for 2600 clean in up good maybe replace any bad eye sores and try to re sell in the spring for around the 3500 mark but i guess i was hoping you guys could tell me if you all think it would be worth that before i went to pick it up

Clean title? Buy it, you won't lose money. Set of tires, change all fluids, take it for a spin you may end up keeping it. FXR is a fun bike.

For $2600 you could buy it and sell it for more in the spring/summer...But I'm betting if you buy, change out the fluids and new rubber and you just might be riding that bike for a good few years.
I test rode a used FXR and it was really nice, I ended up getting the closest i could (FXDC) as that FXR sold really quick and I missed out.
