I'm no Dyna expert, but I've ridden 1/2 dozen or so.
The Dyna (most of them) will steer quicker than a Softail.
They do ride the corners better. A Dyna (might) be a tad smoother on the freeway.
The Softail's are typically more comfortable as far as sitting posn (seat-bars etc)

As far as an all day freeway and/or country roads etc ride, I'd rather ride my Heritage than a WideGlide. I like the fwd controls on the Dyna but after awhile, it's not as good as those floorboards But that's just me.
I never did try a Switchback.

I rode a friend's "48" last year. FUN!! But after an hour, it was gettin' old.

a Low Rider has a wider rake and does not handle like a Sporty...a Super Glide is closer. The Low Rider handles more like a Wide Glide...they tend to drift up in curves whereas the Super Glide tends to drift down...I have ridden all three and this is what I experienced. I am 6' 1" @ 280 and prefer the Super Glide with forwards over the Low Rider with forwards for legroom and long ride comfort.

The sportster to about 120kph with all the engine work I've done is proper fast, You can dial up revs to the moon, drop the clutch and it just launches with the front wheel 2-3 inches up for all of first gear.

What impresses me on the LRS is the roll on power, 60kph to jail time happens really fast!

Again, both fantastic bikes, different purposes. Both lots of fun!
Try launching your LRS in second gear or just launching at a lower rpm. I had the same experience with my old Sportster, where I could rev the hell out of it and launch with the front wheel a foot up in the air.
