Default Mustache engine guard

Hey everybody I just bought a Mustache engine guard from harley, I have oem forward controls and the brake is hitting the engine guard when I push the brake. I called the store and they said it was the right one for my bike (2010 superglide custom). I even loosened the rod from my brake to raise it up and that only helped a little. Anybody else ever had this issue?

I installed my guard after I installed the footboards, so I don't have the issue you do. Do you have any pics so we can see what you're up against?

Have you tried adjusting the brake lever? Depending on how bad it is, you can adjust the pushrod and bring the pedal up a little. Hopefully you only have to adjust it a little so it's not akward to get your foot on

Yeah I was messing with it and decided to adjust the push rod. I loosened it up quite a bit. It doesn't hit anymore I'm just worried about how far I had to loosen it up
