I just stumbled across that reverse bleeding procedure a couple weeks ago myself while researching the notoriously hard-to-bleed clutch on a 1st gen Miata. My son's dual disc Yamaha got a total brake rebuild last fall and bleeding that conventionally was a real bitch. I think the splitter/manifold on the lower tree was holding air. It doesn't have it's own bleeder and it's a bulky cast aluminum thing. I'd really like to try the reverse method to see if we can firm up his brakes some more. If it works, I'd also like to try it on my dual disc conversion on the DWG.
Can you elaborate on the syringe and any hose/fittings you used? Where purchased, etc?

Yea man I'll take a few pictures of what I purchased and post them today.
It came with a small piece of tubing but I had already picked some up from Oriellys. I couldn't say the specific size but it was clear fuel line and they only had 3 sizes. I picked the middle of the 3 sizes and it worked perfectly. Hope that helps.
I have an 05 FXDC and this is the exact thread I was looking for. Are you saying I only need a clutch and brake cable to run 14in t-bars? Was debating the 14 or 12in Burly kit but if I only need 2 cables I'll just buy those.

Yes, the other cables and wire extensions would have just been way to long if I put them on. I would say your good as long as the 2 bikes are comparable. I'm not sure about the difference between 01 and 05. Good luck bro.
