Considering a 97 Dyna Wide excellent condition, lots of chrome, below NADA and Kelly blue book, just a little concerned with the 25k miles, any suggestions? Is $4000 reasonable?

That's actually very low miles for a 97,, should be 60K or more for "average" riding.
Like all vehicles maintenance is always the key right?
If cared for they can go 100K and more without a problem.
Beat the snot out of'm and never change the fluids and they're toast in 10K.

You say excellent condition? With only 25K I wouldn't worry much.

i prefer to buy new or low mileage bikes so 25k would be more than I'd want but that's just because I never know how well it was maintained. 25k miles isn't bad at all for a bike of that age, and if it's maintained properly it'll run forever. Ive never seen a Harley with more than 90k, but I'm sure there's a few out there. Unless you're like me and prefer to know the service/maintenance history, don't let the mileage scare you off.

So, let's see what we have here; we've got a 1340 Evo powered Wide Glide with 25k on it in excellent condition, and they're asking 4k for it... hummm...

If it's in as good of condition as you say it would already be in my garage; I love the Wide Glide. It's the final hold-out, a very unique beast, the homage to the old school choppers...

Sounds like a terrible deal. Send me his contact info and I'll give him a piece of my mind.

Yes - if you like it - get it now. That's low miles. The wide glide is like a bit more of a luxury liner Dyna if you like the style.

If I had such a shot on the same bike I'd be at my bank.

Check title, maintenance history and tire dot dates codes to see what you're dealing with.
