Default Led turn signals

Have custom dynamics led turn signals and randomly they fast flash. I have the recommended controller installed and have tried the high- low switch. It doesn't happen all the time and I can't find a common situation that makes it occur. Anybody else have an issue on a 09?

Try a new controller, the one you have might be bad.

I believe the LE is built in the the Custom Dynamic's module.

I thought they were the same thing. Everyone I know who installed it referred to it as a le, same difference as far as I'm concerned.

no telling since op referred to it as "control module"

With CD, there is no control module. There is the load equalizer, triple play, and magic strobe. Load equalizer is usually needed on non-canbus bikes. Canbus bikes manage inefficiencies.

if there is a load equalizer present. Double check the connections on it. Grounds and such. If it has failed, let CD and they will dend you another since it is all covered by the lifetime warranty.

I've two control modules laying around. A Badlands Illuminator Pro III and a Motogadget M-Unit. Both manage the "load equalizer" function internally. The "load equalizer" is just to ensure the flasher module sees adequate resistance to prevent fast (aka hyper) flashing.

Sorry guys I couldn't remember what it was called so I just said control module. I've gone over all the plug connections and no apparent issues. This is my second LE in two years. Are there other ground connections I should be checking?

Don't be sorry lol control module-load equalizer. Same difference. Like calling a sissy bar a backrest. I would just test the powers/grounds for the le and lights. If you have all powers/grounds then it's just a le. It sounds like that's what it's gonna be anyway since it's the le job to make the lights flash at the correct rate, and they're flashing faster than they should be.

Not sure if you have the same one that I have, but I had to follow these instructions to make mine work with my 09 FXDB.

Turn the key on and perform a turn signal synchronization. With the key in the run position and the motor off, press the right turn signal button and allow the turn signal to flash 2 times, after the second flash press the left turn signal button and allow the turn signal to flash 2 times, after the second flash press the right turn signal and allow it to flash at east 10 times. Turn key off.
