I posted this elsewhere but figured this is probably the best place to ask this question. I was wondering if anyone knows if I could use a 1997 Sportster speedometer/tach unit with all the wiring on a 1998 Superglide. I was hoping to add a tach onto my bike
Thanks
A good question. I'm doing something similar with replacing my handlebar-mounted speedo/tach with a tank-mounted dash.
I stopped at a H-D shop and we looked at part numbers. The bar-mounted tach for my FXR has a different part number than a dash-mounted one. So it looks like I need to find another tach.
So you might try looking in the appropriate parts catalog and see if the part numbers are the same.
