Default 07 streetbob security problem

I have an 07 streetbob with the security system. The red key light on instrument panel had been continuously on for about two weeks while running, but ran OK. I stopped the other day, turned the ignition off, but when turned back on, the starter button would not work and engine wouldn't crank. All of the lights come on, but it will not crank. The key light is not longer on, however, I cannot get any codes to appear on the speedo after trying to reset it, and the odometer does not show any mileage on the mileage display. I have checked codes before, but now it does not work. Any recommendations?

is your FOB battery dead? Try replacing that or entering in your passcode manually.

I've also attempted the manual overide, but like I said, the odometer does not show any numbers at all on the display.

Try using your spare Fob with a new battery, could be the Fob is throwing a wobbly.

If that doesn't work maybe try pulling the dash off and checking the connections?

Also could be a little bad gas and the O2 sensors have thrown a DTC code, check to see if you have any DTC codes coming up, if so just clear them and you should be good to go, oops forgot to post the great sticky link that helps a lot.

I just had an issue with bike not running and it was the key fob battery but concerning the manual overide, the numbers didn't show on the odometer when I checked to see if I set it correctly. I just pushed the turn signals like the instructions said and it worked.

I think the speedometer needs to be set so it is showing the odometer, not one of the trip settings ... make sure it is showing the correct window ... other wise you don't see the passcode when you try to enter it ...

anyway that's what I found when I had problems
