Default 2009 FXDB Rear Fender Help
My rear fender was recalled and replaced, but now out of warranty and cracked again. I've been Googling for a while looking for a replacement, but can't seem to really find much. Anyone have any suggestions for a replacement rear fender that may be a little shorter than stock?

They crack all the time...I welded an 1/8" plate on the back and welded the crack then got it repainted. Never cracked again. The chrome light assembly is heavy going to keep happening unless you reinforce it.

I replaced mine with the super glide style fender

Didn't they end up reinforcing the fender?


If so, maybe just a later model fender. I have an '11 that hasn't had the problem yet.

You could go with a '13 or newer FXDB fender.
