Pretty easy decision..... I have the DK trap motos. Much more narrow platform like mx pegs and keeps em off the ground in the canyons. I dig that. Im not making an habit of standing or pedaling, dont need the super wide platform of those other ones.
So if youre standing on em alot or just like the looks of the wide ones go with em. Otherwise the DK trap motos are great pegs and roll the front tire to the edges without touching down. But Im an ex sportbike guy and thats what Im interested in.
Is this the trend now? They look like Mountain bike peddles. What are the pros and cons of them? I am wanting new pegs as well.
mine a actually real BMX-style pedals. They keep my feet planted. Grip for sure. Feels so good under foot without being floorboards. On long trips with regular pegs, my boots would get heaby on my feet and it became a chore to keep my feet on the forwards. Especially at higher speeds. Now i can just put my feet the and relax, the pedals hold the boots just enough that my feet stay put with no effort
Depending on how they are made some spin, others do not. The spinning can be hazardous to your health. Pretty sure thats why you dont see it much on sportbikes and such. I would never do this on my sporty.. well spinning pedals anyway.
Or consider these - http://www.bungking.com/grabber-foot-peg/
I got 'em myself because, coming from dual sport bike experience, I find the style secure and comfortable.
I know I'm new to these forums but having ridden a Sportster before I like having pegs that your feet don't slide on. I'm liking these "dirt bike" style pegs. SAFETY first, looks later !!!
