I'm putting together a 1983 FXWG that I acquired in a state of disassembly.
I figured out that my forks are extended 4". The upper tubes are 29". The stock length is 24.75". The listed fork oil capacity is 9 oz per side. My question is, do I need to adjust for the extension? or should I stay with the 9 ounces because the extension is essentially just on the top end?
I'm guessing no depending on the springs. I just did +4 tubes though but didn't fill them yet, and I'm running progressives. I'm curious to see the responses you get. I'd assume the same 9 oz because like you said, the extension is on the top.
