Does anyone know for sure what oil comes in new Harley's right from the factory.....Could they have shipped with Syn 3 in allthree holes???? I looked at my Trans juice and it looks pretty light I from the OLD school and think gear boxes should be running gear oil..... Like to hear from anyone that knows for sure Thanks
I put 75-98 gear oil in the tranny. Thebike probably comes with what the owner's manual recommends, 20-50. The SE bikes comes with synth from the factory.

The SE bikes do come with SYN3 in them from the factory. All others get HD360.
I agree...the transmission really needs gear oil. Engine oil has no business in there whatsoever. Lot of people swear by certain brands and certain grades....well it really does not matter. Gear oil is gear oil!
