Default Head Bolt Question

My top end is apart right now, and I've been assembling bits and pieces for reassembly (which is still a bit away right now). I'll probably use an Alloy Boltz kit when I put it back together, but they don't seem to offer Twin Cam head bolts. I think fresh OEM hardware will look very bland next to the bling from Alloy Boltz and some fresh powdercoating... So far the only "showy" option I've found that doesn't look sketchy from a quality standpoint is this Fueling/ARP set:

Are there other good options to look at? I won't skimp on quality for a head bolt, but also don't want to spend $264.99 for eight bolts if there is a better option...

Most everyone I've seen do a top end reuses the stock head bolts. .I think there's a reason for it. I'd be worried about aftermarket stretching properly under torque.

Thanks, Matt. That does make sense...

ARP makes the best head and rod bolts in the business...with a commensurate price, of course. Call their tech line and see what they offer and recommend for your build. I bet they have three or four options...

That said, I'm using finned bolt bridges for the very reasons you pointed out. Cost and looks. I'm also gonna do some close looking at them later to see if I can get good heat transer between the head and bridge. They have a lot of surface area that could be put to better use, I suspect. Might as well look good while doing work.

ARP may have some that are more suitable for the head bolts. I bypassed em when I bought some from diamond engineering. Just didn't feel comfortable replacing em till I had more time to look into the compatibility with those particular bolts.

Is there a place where I can see your finned bolt bridges? I'm not asking a personal question...

Diamond Engineering has some great bolt selections. Expensive, though.

Sure. I think they were about $65 for the pair of HD brand ones I got. Kury (iirc) also makes them without the branding. I didn't really WANT the bar and shield but I wanted to make sure the finish and lines matched up, so I stuck with MoCo. The others may be fine, tho. No idea.

Do a Googe image search for "Harley twin cam head bolt cover" and get all kinds of options from simple bolt caps to fancy decorative bridges.
