Hey everyone, happy to say I joined the HD club for the first time this week. Got me a 2017 Dyna SB.
I'm looking to upgrade to a stage 1 right away and I'm hoping you guys can provide a noob with some good advice.
I've been looking at Vance and Hines so I'm thinking of going with the 2 into 1 exhaust, the Fuelpak autotuner, the V02 air kit. Is this considered a good start? Am I missing anything? Any guides I can read more about?
For Stage 1, that's a great start. The V&H 2-1( I'm assuming 'big radius') is not a performance pipe... if/when you decide to do cams/head work... I'd look at a performance 2-1.. but... for a stage 1, it's a great pipe.. not too loud, but will sit up talk when you roll it on.
Hey welcome, yep you have basically everything you need, except a Latest Service manual, that is a priceless book, and also while you are at it get yourself a damn good lift, J&s or Pitbull are the best in the USA, and get ready for plenty of reading on here.
I've been very happy with the Vance and Hines Propipe 2 into 1 supported by the Fuelpak FP3 Tuner and the Screaming Eagle High Performance air cleaner{see my profile pic}. The FP3 is so easy to use it is ridiculous and the propipe sounds awesome.
I have no plans to go any further as this is all the power this old guy will ever need.
If you plan on any serious motor work (increase in capacity, cams, bigger TB) down the track I would spend the money on a power vision instead and save some $$$ and get a DK customs intake.
