I thought the stock HP was around 62-65. When I did a stage 1 on my 14 Fat Bob, the print out showed 74 HP. I am using an FP3 controller.

I've got a 2016 Switchback with the high output 103. I've added a Vance and Hines slip on, a de-catted stock header, a Screaming Eagle Stage One intake, and a Power Vision tune from the dealer. Stock performance prior to the mods was adequate, but boring. I'm now happier with my bike because it has great torque, revs freely, sounds great and cruises beautifully from 1500 to 3000 rpm. I'm sure more power would give me additional bragging rights, but I doubt that it would improve the Switchback for my riding style. Given the way the bike performs, I don't care what a dyno run will show, because the current configuration works great for me.

When I went from straight shots to short shots with quiet baffles I didn't lose any power at all. I believe the back pressure caused from the QBs was instrumental in facilitating that. The seat of pants feel from stock to a stage 1 was the power distribution was spread across the entire throttle range instead of having a flat spot in the higher rpm ranges. In fact there was a valve chatter (or ping) when I pegged the throttle stock which disappeared. If I gained torque or hp, I would say it's too little to say for sure and 7hp is not enough to feel without doing a dyno run . I am very happy with my performance configuration with average 41mpg.

I have a Stage I in my 2015 FXLD...Cobra true duals, opened air box, tuned with a SE Super Tuner Pro...78 HP, 95 ft. lbs of torque. I have a Stage IV race kit in my bagger and only have a little over 104 ft. lbs. and the Dyna is 230 lbs. lighter...

In my (limited) experience, you will be lucky to see 75 rear wheel horsepower from stock 103" bike - more likely 65-70 rwhp on a truthful dyno. And maybe 85- 90 TQ

Stage 1 using good, matched parts will get you to 80 rwhp, 100 TQ if you are lucky - certainly not much more.

So meaningful gains are there for sure. Just take your time choosing parts that will work well with your bike and the style of riding you like.

Then start saving up for cams and headwork.

How would a Dyna 103 perform with just Screaming Eagle slip ons, a high flow air filter, and a different map? Thank you.

You'd struggle to find a better set of pipes for killing low end torque.....

I never owned a Harley in my life that didn't "lug" under 2,000 RPM...
