I'm looking to balance the chrome on my new bike with some black trim. Chrome is real nice to clean I've been searching around for timer and derby covers that have black and chrome to easy the bedazzled look.
Loving all the shiny bikes in this thread....ka-roam!
Mine's coming along slowly - finished the pipes, AC (and tuner), the signal relocates, the chrome outer primary and the fork lowers. Swapped the chrome mirrors off the 2008 XL1200C and going to pilfer it's chrome headlight this weekend. De-reflectored and got rid of that ridiculous factory sissy bar. Now it's time to do the grips, foot controls, risers, apes, lines, chrome sissy bar, wheels and pulley........................
.....oh, and the Dead Center Road Captain should be here today
Just finalized the deal on a black 2017 Wide Glide and I'm looking for ideas. Love some of the bikes on here (always did!) but not a fan of black on anything but the seat, tins and tires. Having the dealer change out the fork lowers for chrome and throw away the little black stock sissy bar before I pick it up (it's snowing here right now) and starting to put together the "improvement list". First up: VH Big Radius 2into2 chrome, Wimmer spike, tuner, outer primary and Lepera solo. Also looking for suggestions for 14" apes (love the RSD but they only come 16+ which is too high for me). The stock wheels are the next things that will be hitting the garbage bin.
On the subject of wheels, I've noticed all the manufacturers only make an 18" rear - it's probably been discussed before ad naseum, but can I assume that an ME880 in 18" would fit right back that same as stock?
I know the big push in the last few years has been to powder coat everything that doesn't move, but it's just not my style. Would love to see some shots of any bikes that have gone full on chrome *****. I've searched the threads extensively (and found out some rather sad news about members I used to know on here), but if anyone is willing to post up some pics of their chrome/contrast bits and pieces it would be much appreciated. Love the look of Xtreme Machine V-Cut grips/pegs, etc just not sure how they'd look on the bike.
Thanks, Greg
p.s. - I have no idea why that picture is sideways....looks right on my phone and computer!?!
