Just finalized the deal on a black 2017 Wide Glide and I'm looking for ideas. Love some of the bikes on here (always did!) but not a fan of black on anything but the seat, tins and tires. Having the dealer change out the fork lowers for chrome and throw away the little black stock sissy bar before I pick it up (it's snowing here right now) and starting to put together the "improvement list". First up: VH Big Radius 2into2 chrome, Wimmer spike, tuner, outer primary and Lepera solo. Also looking for suggestions for 14" apes (love the RSD but they only come 16+ which is too high for me). The stock wheels are the next things that will be hitting the garbage bin.
On the subject of wheels, I've noticed all the manufacturers only make an 18" rear - it's probably been discussed before ad naseum, but can I assume that an ME880 in 18" would fit right back that same as stock?
I know the big push in the last few years has been to powder coat everything that doesn't move, but it's just not my style. Would love to see some shots of any bikes that have gone full on chrome *****. I've searched the threads extensively (and found out some rather sad news about members I used to know on here), but if anyone is willing to post up some pics of their chrome/contrast bits and pieces it would be much appreciated. Love the look of Xtreme Machine V-Cut grips/pegs, etc just not sure how they'd look on the bike.
Thanks, Greg
p.s. - I have no idea why that picture is sideways....looks right on my phone and computer!?!

Traded a Chromed out Pearlesant Violet Ghost Flamed Wideglide doe a 2007 Street Bob. Back in September of 06, all blacked out was new, different and cool. A few years later, here comes the Sons of Anarchy. Now, EVERYBODY
Once you go black ya never go back. I'm all about the blacked out look. I like chrome on some bikes but there's just something about a black bobber that gets me goin.
Chrome is the contrast and truth to the black; black is nothing but the backdrop to all reality, black is a void devoid of lines and shape, it's nothingness; blacked out bikes have not any sort of a form, and have absolutely no lines; blacked out bikes are rolling blobs of blur and meh and are a rolling joke.
Oh, I'm a chrome *****; just put it in the right places, use it to hold back the black and kill that black nothingness with the beauty of chrome; remove that trendy overdone bullshit darkness so many have embraced; make your ride something unique, not just another murdered out millennial butthurt piece of rolling **** without any sort of character or original though...
