Default 2007 dyna fxdb streetbob bogs when accelerating

Just bought this bike a month ago. Everything worked fine. Rode it to work (30min ride) and it rained on me the next day I picked up the bike rode it back home fine no problems. Then I went to the gas station about a mile down the road and the bike started bogging out filled it up and took it around the block a few times and it does it in 2nd and 3rd (didn't go higher) any ideas what's up. Also that time frame took at the most 15 min and the bike is hot. Could it be because of the rain or something else

Doubtful it's rain.
If it did it after you filled up you might have some bad gas. Best to drain it out and get a fresh tankful, adding some Seafoam to hopefully clean out what remained in there.
If it was bogging down before you filled it, could be a few things. Like a dirty fuel filter or a pinhole in the internal fuel line, even a clogged air filter.
More info would help. How many miles on the bike, any mods like a tuner, had some recent service or work done on it, etc.
Did it throw any codes? What do the plugs look like?

I also doubt it was the rain unless......you have an open air filter and it got soaked (saturated) by the rain. In which case after it dries out the issue should resolve on it's own. If it doesn't NEVIL made some good suggestions.

On the plugs, I used to believe this and used it in the past. I had a very respected mechanic tell me that modern gas without lead burns so clean, reading the plugs won't really tell you much like in days past. I don't know if he was right or not. But I respect his opinion.

You can still read plugs on unleaded... no difference.

Aside from reading plugs, I was more concerned if there was any oil fouling on one or both.

That is why you read plugs... .. to check for fouling ..etc.

To me this sounds like a fuel issue tho... interesting that it happened after a rain tho... I would have stated a possible fuel pump issue.. maybe looking at the pressure being supplied to the FI... pinhole in the pressure side hose in the tank...etc.

I agree with archer, look for low pressure on the fuel side. Leak in tank, clogged injector, fuel pump going out. Are you getting missed combustion error codes? If it gets hot quickly that is a sign it is running really lean.

Was the gas station a "bargain" unbranded type? Gas tank got water in it? Or, diesel?

Default Bogging Down

As stated, you need to check the hoses in the tank for punctures or holes and how much fuel pressure your getting. Do you know if the fuel filter has ever been changed ?

You can look at the throttle body also, it might be dirty/sticky
